Value added tax
  1. First: Evaluate if the application of value added tax meet the requirements of the VAT law and its executive regulations and reviewing VAT returns:
    • Assessing application of the VAT system (based on information and documents  provided to us )through the following:
      1. Setting a plan for studying the activities of company including the accounting system, the documents and the financial statements to determine the effect of the tax on such activities and what should be applied to the accounting system according to the VAT law and its executive regulations in addition the formal aspects that should be adhered in applying the law.
      2. Comparing what must be applied with what is actually applied.
      3. Identifying the required changes.
      4. Setting up a plan to implement such changes if any.
      5. Supporting the IT department in modifying the automated accounting systems in order to apply those amendments when requested.
    • ​Auditing VAT returns before submitting them to the General Authority for Zakat and Tax.
      1. Auditing VAT returns through a monthly visit to ensure that they satisfy with the  requirements of VAT system and its executive regulation. Also, assisting in submitting the tax returns to the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) each tax period.
      2. Assisting the financial department to reply to all inquiries by the GAZT for clarifying the information stated in the tax returns.
      3. Review a sample of deducted tax documents to ensure the validity of the application of tax deduction provisions.
      4. Review the formal aspects for documents and the tax returns.
      5. Providing VAT consultations related to the group companies activities by all available means whether telephone, e-mail or visiting the premises (if required).
      6. Providing the financial department of the company with any updates regarding the tax system and all instructions issued by GAZT.
  2. ​The Second : VAT inspection services upon request by the GAZT:
    • Reviewing analyses and information required for inspection in cooperation with the financial departments.
    • Review documents and analyses required for primary committees in case the dispute is transferred to it.
